This year will be our 36th annual Highland Festival & Games. This year we have moved our festival to the Brooklyn, Connecticut fairgrounds for much needed space and parking. At our festival you will be entertained by numerous bagpipe bands performing throughout the day, bagpipe & drumming competitions, Drum Major competitions, Highland dance competitions, Harp demonstrations and competitions, Highland fiddle demonstrations and dancing, all sorts of animals who’s breeds originate from Scotland ( UK,) sheep dog demonstrations, the famous highland games as well as some great entertainment at two different locations at our festival. This year our feature band on the Main Stage will be the Sean Heely Trio joined by guest Jesse Ofgang. Jesse will also entertain us with a solo performance on the wee stage. And of course, our old favorites, Charlie Zahm and Tad Marks will be joining us on the Main Stage. In the Fiddle Tent, Malcolm Littlefield and Ben Anderson will return with more toe-tapping fiddle music. Our gates will open at 0900 for shopping & visits, Opening ceremony is at 12 noon with mass bands and the Clans presenting their colors, closing will be at 5:00 P.M.

PLEASE NOTE, there will be a $3.00 per vehicle charge for parking with all proceeds from this charge going to the Mortlake Volunteer Fire Department for their assist in the parking. ALSO, PLEASE , NO animals will be permitted on grounds or left in your vehicle, NO exceptions will be made so PLEASE leave your pets at home.
